NIGHTHEAT Big Band is at its core a 12 piece band with full rhythm section as well as a minimun of 5 piece brass section plus two vocalists (male & female). The band is lead by Musical Director Joe Quigley who is a successful, well known Guitarist in the Derry region and beyond. NIGHTHEAT covers old and new songs from Walzes to Latin with everything in between and has an extensive musical library that guarantees we will have the right program for your wedding. All songs played are especially arranged for the band and we welcome specific requests to tailor your wedding to your unique requirements. We are well aware of the efforts it takes to make a wedding/ event truly special and we stop at nothing to ensure that the guests are entertained to the highest standards. We currently play a residency every Sunday at The River Inn/ Silverstreet, in Derry (ShipQuay Str.)

Nightheat Big Band was established in 1991 and consists of 12 musicians, headed by Musical Director and Guitarist Joe Quigley, all professional musicians the top of their game. We take great pride in our ability to entertain and our extensive musical library guarantees we have the right program for your venue. We play currently a local residency in Derry City, every Sunday at The River Inn, the oldest bar in Derry. We have a 5 piece brass section at minimum (2x Sax, 2x Trumpet, 1 Trombone), full rhythm section as well as 2 vocalists (male & female). We perform mostly dance music such as Big Band music, in the style of Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Elvis Presley and similar (Irish songs) including Pop and Country, if required.
